If you have never been to Hobb's State Park, I highly recommend it. It is a free facility and there is a lot of information to learn and explore.
This was a cave exhibit that teaches the kids about stalagmites and stalactites and all about the cave creatures.
The bat exhibit.
They had an amphibian exhibit with snakes, turtles and tree frogs.
Bird watching, and pond watching, too. The kids found tons of tadpoles in the pond below with their binoculars.
Kids area with books and puzzles.
Ariel fell in love with this little stuffed hoot owl...she let her brother have it for the photo op though!
On that particular day, they had an amphibian show and tell with a park ranger there on staff. We were the only people there and the whole show was for us! They brought out a box turtle...
and a king snake for the kids to touch. I had no part in the snake...the kinda give me the creeps!
And they also got to touch a toad...I didn't touch him either!
After we saw the exhibits we took off for the trails!
Saw the pretty flowers!
Threw some rocks in the water.
Looked at some old home sites.
And held hands...such a sweet moment!
