Pool Par-tay!

We celebrated Caleb's 6th birthday at local neighborhood pool this year...it was the most relaxed party we have ever had for him! He had most of all his friend show up and we had ice cream cake this year per Caleb's request!

Ariel was able to see Sadie one last time before her family departed to Ft. Worth this week.  Here are a few pics of their final farewell.

Hutchinson's Last Hoorah

Our friends Amber and Josh Hutchinson and their three adorable kids (Jefferson, Sadie and Saylor) are moving away to Forth Worth this week.  They had all of their friends from church, school and the neighborhood over for one last get together.  They served hot dogs, chips and cookies.  It was hot but we had a great time being together and enjoying their company one last time.  I didn't get very many pictures of their kids...I think they were inside most of the time!

Mmmmm. Watermelon...he ate 5 pieces that night!
Ariel...not so much!
My only picture with Sadie in it!  Playing ball with Zoey.  Ariel gave me the watermelon and then went and got a cookie...you can see her sneaking past!

Caleb's 6th Birthday!

My Boy is SIX!! Can not even believe it!  Where has time gone?

He got me up at 6:30 on Friday (his birthday) and said he was ready to get his day started.  I got out of bed and we went downstairs and he automatically saw his new bike and wanted to get on it!
We continued to open presents!
Reading his card with a big 6 on it!
A devotional book with his picture on it from my Dad and Les.
I cooked Caleb his favorite for breakfast...blueberry pancakes...with the blueberries on top and not inside.  Happy Birthday Caleb!
Then we got dressed (at like 7:30!) and went outside to ride bikes for a while.
After lunch we went and watched Toy Story 3 in 3D!  We have been wanting to see this on his birthday for at least 6 months.  The movies opening day was on his birthday and he thought that was so cool!
The kids in their 3D glasses.
Pictures by the fountain at the movies.

That evening, we went to dinner with my mom since it was her birthday too!  On the way to the restaurant, a guy in a half ton pick-up towing a boat rear-ended my mom.  It wasn't anything severe and no one was hurt but it just stinks that it had to happen on her birthday.  After dinner I got the kids in bed and then went next door to my mom's house and we watched "Shutter Island" together.  I had to leave her house at 11:30 to make sure that I could kiss my boy on the exact moment he was born (I have done that every year).  Then I went back to my mom's house and finished the last 30 seconds of the movie!  Yes, there was only 30 seconds left but I didn't care...it was worth pausing it and kissing Caleb.  We had a great day!  Caleb was so worn out and he even complained of a tummy ache before bed...must show that he had fun!
